Sept. 19, 2012 To anyone who needs the spirit in their lives, study Jesus Christ

Hola.

sorry i am late tonight. we spent the day at the immigrations office getting an id card. but the nice thing was that i had time to read a lot out of Jesus the Christ. That book is amazing!! there are fantastic insights on every page, and if you only try to dig through the thick doctrinal observations, you will find some bright and wonderful gems of wisdom and knowledge. (I say doctrinal observations, because doctrine isn't crazy stuff like how far is it to kolob? and stuff like that. doctrine is simple truth. and President Bednar teaches that all questions of application (why the word of wisdom says this, why we cant do that, why the church didn't give blacks the priesthood, why anything like that happens) are answered with doctrine. you cannot change behavior and attitude with a study or analysis of behavior and attitude. you must go to the doctrine. (please see if you can find his talk about that. i think it was a missionary training center address, but you still might be able to find it. dont know the title sorry..)

Ok this week when touching doors (thats how they say it --tocar puertas):

We found an amazing lady named Lia. at first she told us we couldn't come in, because she had some relatives over that didn't like us, but then as we prayed with her at her gate, the relatives interrupted our prayer, left, and she snuck us in for a lesson!! We taught her a little about the restoration, got an address and info needed for the real missionaries of that area, and gave her a book of mormon. I was honestly elevated beyond reason, because it has been very hard to remember what my purpose and drive in being here is, since I live in a classroom. but only 5 more days of that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Lia said she wanted to read the book of mormon, and after introducing her to the concept of baptism, me inviting her (chévere (sweet)) she said she wants to be baptized!!!!

PLEASE pray for Lia so that she will make it to church like she promised, and read the BOM/LDM and that she can find the happens that our Lord offers her through the gospel. please!!

Also: to anyone who needs the spirit more in their lives (all of you. don't even mess.)

study Jesus Christ. he is the center of the gospel, because he provided the payment for the debt we incure breaking the rules of the father (don't worry its supposed to happen, hence HE PROVIDED THE PAYMENT) 

Jesus Christ is our savior. I know this to be true, and if you know nothing else, know it. KNOW IT. (See moroni chap. 10 verses 3-5 to find out how you can know. duh. ;) )
