okey dokey.
Hola familia. ¿Como estàn todos? Estoy olvidando mi idioma, Ìngles, entonces si cambio mis oraciones sin darme cuenta, no se preocupen. Estoy bien.
Hellos. It is very hot. Every day it gets hotter, I swear, and every night, in like 20 minutes it turns very very cold and rains a lot. It is super awesome, and seeing a picture of you guys snowblowing, literally throws off my entire world. I'm so confused. What is snow???
This week we found more people!! We're being a little bolder and more creative, and encontramos a trece nuevos!! It was so cool. But I am very frustrated and confused with some of our investigadors. I do not know what we should do because we have all kinds of investigadors that believe everything, but do not want to go to church. and do not understand why we need to do so. That actually is I think the difficulty with working in Ayacucho-- a lot of the time, people simply believe what we say, and feel like were telling the truth, and don't truly convert themselves. And most of the people aren't really educated enough to try, or let alone want, to read the Book of Mormon. They all read a couple verses if that. Maybe a chapter. It's frustrating, but we are taught to filter out the luke warm investigadors with the Doctrine of Christ. We invite them to be baptized on a certain date, by no later than the second lesson. The first if we can, and that works as a filter. It's pretty cool.
But yeah I love this work.
For christmas we sang all day. We sang as a zone in a rest home, (yeah one exists here, and its huge and nice and filled with toothless, spunky, tiny-bodied quechua-mouths) in the hospital (which was very unsettling to see the difference in their hospital and ours,) and in the main park square of the city! That was super cool. We started singing the Christmas hymns, and by the time we finished, there were probably 200 people watching, filming, clapping, whatever. It was way cool. I felt a little closer to my secret sueño (dream) of being a soapbox missionary.
But yeah not much else has happened. My favorite scripture of the week is 3 nephi 5:12,13

I am a missionary and disciple of Jesus Christ. I love him with all of the heart he gave me.
