Ok. story.
We have a rule that we cannot enter into a house if there is not a male over the age of 17 present. So we have to have members that acompany us proselyting every day. But there is this kid who got baptized only two months ago, and he wants to go on a mission so he goes with us almost every day, and it is super effective because he has a million cousins and friends and every time the door shuts on us, we go visit his family members and teach them all. Awesome. So yeah he takes us to his aunt late friday night, and we teach her and her daughter and a friend who had come over that night. The lesson was really powerful, because every day we try to teach more simply and directly and testify of christ and of the Book of Mormon. so yeah we say the prayer and the daughter says she is real stomach sick and we offer her a blessing and give her one. Then as we are leaving, she comes out alone (shes prob 22 years old around there) and tells us that she didn't want her friend and little sister to know, but that she is pregnant, and that is why she sick. She then told us very sincerely and humbly, ´quisiera...quisiera bautizarme. quiero cambiar mi vida. necesito ayuda´ I would like to get baptized. I need help, and I want to change my life. So yeah we have an appointment tonight and we are going to set a date for her baptism and such. Way awesome. her name is Pameli
Also, we found this guy named Rober, an adult male (almost never do we find grown men that want to listen. it is something very tragic that I owe to the devil, that we almost never teach men. Unfortunately, no grown men want anything to do with religion, because they know it will restrict their drinking and such.) but yeah this guy answers the window, yes the window, without a shirt and at first was super rude. But then I felt to use the --testify really quickly to earn yourself one minute, then teach something real quick to earn another two minutes, then they're interested and you get in the house-- tactic, and it worked. And he let us in to teach ´five minutes´ (we stayed an hour) we start teaching him, and he asks, I have seen so many people that are so convinced their church is the true church, and yet they change churches when the first set of missionaries come along. Why should you guys be any different kind of thing. So we taught about the Book of Mormon, and that it is the only thing that no other church even talks about, and we have a visit tomorrow. Pray please for us, because I feel very strongly that this man is important, more than the majority of strangers that we simply talk to. and he has a full family, and he is the man. (you get to the man of the house, you get to them all, and that almost NEVER happens here.)
But yeah the work is good. I love it here. I am in kind of an in between spot with nothing else really exiting going on, but the work moves forward as always. Also I am very very very very exited for general conference. (never in my life have I been so exited to here (with all due respect) Jeffrey and David a. and the others. and in english!!! what???!! no way!!! way.) So please enjoy your lives with full access to any general conference talk or mormon message you want, at any time, and please love music as well. I miss it much.
Love you all a ton.!! keep the faith, never give up, never quit, never eat sketchy chicken and tons of beans from random ward members, and never feel like you don't matter! You do. The lord knows us all. and he loves us. (see page whatever of the book of mormon. simply open it.)
