October 1, 2012 The things that can happen in 1 week!

Family Family Family.
The things that can happen in just one week.

BAPTISM!!!

Yes I had my first baptism!! But first, I am in Ayachucho!! Its such an interesting city. Its way up in the mountains, and there are a ton of people. not sure how it works. And I don't know the stats and whatnot.. but There is so many people ,and we're way out in the middle of nowhere!! Also, apparently there are jaguars and monkeys in the neighboring forests, and we will go see some in a zoo in a week or two. way cool.

Also, there is no water.  The city had a damn break (I'm not swearing!!!) somewhere and we only get like a little tiny bit at seven in the morning. not enough to shower with. so I stink. much. Haven't showered in like four days, and There isn't supposed to be water for another 20 days. Yeah not sure how positive my attitude will be next week ... But don't worry we can buy drinking water, and we´re ok!!!

DEYRI
Deyri is a nineteen year old girl who looks like she's about 14, very quiet, but has a small and growing testimony, and is baptized thanks to Elder Henostroza and Elder Hartvigsen!!! We taught her for a couple days, and then she wasn't wanting to do anything, and we worried a lot. so, we fasted. How great are the small things we do to show God our devotion!! it worked and she told us that she hadn't got permission from her mom yet, but she did and we were all good to go!! hopefully the pic will send and you all can see it. I am so happy, and the work is so great here in Ayacucho. I think more than many other places, people here are willing to listen and have testimonies that are growing. The members love us missionaries and we get a lot done through them.

Also the food is great! i love it a ton, and there is much rice, which fills you up nicely. somedays, we get fed like two lunches and three dinners. Not even exaggerating. not at all. And its horrible because we honestly couldn't finish one time, and the family felt so bad, and I felt bad.

But the church is true, and my testimony is growing everyday. Keep reading the scriptures, they are instant sources of the holy ghost. Also, pray constantly. Fervent prayer will do more than you can imagine. Test it out, I dare you. The lord loves us and is always watching!! he wants us to pray so we can receive blessings

I love all of you, and I'm writing personal letters, which will be sent hopefully next week.
