Oct. 19, 2013 Elder Rasband is coming to the mission!

Gerson's baptism

First, I'm sending pictures of Gerson´s baptism! He´s such a good kid. He kinda wants to go on a mission, and so he comes with us at night sometimes to teach other people. he´s awesome.

Cole, i´m sorry to hear your bird passed on to the spirit bird world... kinda sad. Just know there´s probably rivers of seeds and fruit, and i´m sure he´s happy :)

This week we´ve been here in the office with Elder Amador, who just had a knee operation, and he cant´walk much. SO, at night Elder Diaz and I take turns leaving to the area usually with Hyrum, a 20 year old kid from our ward. (yes his name is really Hyrum, the family´s been in the church for ages.) But he´s super funny, and kinda like really intellectual. And he loves studying the old testament and the 10 commandments and stuff like that...

One time, I got lost in thought like I do, and I was quiet for a moment, and he goes, Elder Hartvigsen... I wonder what you could be thinking about.... Which of the commandments are you thinking about..? Ha i laughed and then thought... maybe I should be meditating on the commandments... or should I?

So Elder Rasband (President Douglas´ really good friend), is coming to the mission, and Elder Nelson is also coming to give firesides with all the missions. SO, we´re pretty busy starting to get things ready for when they come in November. Stress!!!! Yay!!!!

Not sure what else to say... it has been a very average week.

I´m in the war chapters in alma, which for the first time I have truly enjoyed. It´s interesting to look at how moroni took very simple principles taught in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then used them to run a country and a military (and ended up saving them from a much larger enemy). We can do this! we may live in a dark evil world, but the principles are true. They teach us what to do, how to live.

Los amo a todos!
Elder Hartvigsen
